by Jonathan AnthonyStockMarketEye was born out of a desire to better understand the workings of the stock market. Having a few dollars to invest, I was looking for an application that could help me track interesting stocks that I had come across on the web or in print. But every application that I found was complex and difficult to use. So being a professional software developer, I decided that the best thing to do was to write my own software.
Et voila! StockMarketEye was born.
After about 9 months of work, the first version of StockMarketEye was released on September 15th, 2008. It was quite a bit different from the StockMarketEye of today. No Portfolios. No Charts. Just basic watchlists. But bigger and better features were on the way.
Version 2.0 of StockMarketEye was released in February of 2009 and contained basic support for Portfolio tracking. The combined power of having unlimited watchlists and portfolios within one application opened new doors for StockMarketEye users.
In August of 2009 we released version 2.2 of StockMarketEye. This was the first version to display historical, end-of-day stock charts, visually enhancing the power of our Watchlists and Portfolios.
StockMarketEye continues to regularly release new features and enhancements. We are always interested in hearing from our users so that we can provide them with software that truely does help them to keep their eye on the market.
