StockMarketEye 4.0.6 Released

We are happy to announce the release of StockMarketEye v4.0.6 for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

We went through a series of rapid releases in the first 2 weeks after the initial release of StockMarketEye v4. Those releases were to fix some critical issues found immediately after the initial release. In v4.0.6, we’ve cleared up a number of minor issues. In addition we’ve made general performance, stability and compatibility improvements.

  • Switched to lenient portfolio chart generation and added option for using strict mode
  • Set the cursor in the Symbol field of the external chart window
  • Allow scrolling during drag-and-drop actions
  • Use the portfolio’s currency as a default when adding an unknown symbol
  • Various optimizations
  • Fixed case where the Change/Change % columns in the Summary report were not calculated correctly
  • Fixed issue with TWRR in Prices and BiT report in the presence of splits
  • Fixed display of exchange rates in Grouped Transactions report
  • Fixed inconsistent transaction sorting by date
  • Fixed issue when changing Group name did not change the name in the folders view
  • Fixed issue with printing Watchlists to PDF
  • Fixed issue with historical quote caching
  • Fixed several issues with the on-line sync
  • Fixed minor issue with backup files
  • Fixed issue with Ubuntu Unity
  • Fixed issue with Yahoo Finance historical data causing freezes

Grouped Portfolios

Grouping portfolios was one of our most requested features. In StockMarketEye 4, you can create any number of portfolio groups to help you better manage diverse sets of portfolios.

Investment Categories

Within an individual portfolio, you can group your current investments using “Categories”. Categories help you organize and manage the positions within a portfolio.

Grouping and Categories are also available for Watchlists.

We’ve enhanced the charting experience in StockMarketEye 4 to give you an improved visual perspective on your investments.

StockMarketEye 3.3.14 Released

Happy New Year! We are proud to announce the release of StockMarketEye v3.3.14 for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

This release contains a few small updates to improve stability and compatibility.

Changes

  • Improved OFX import of bond holdings.
  • Renamed the currency, TRY, from “New Turkish Lyra” to “Turkish Lyra” .
  • Minor updates for compatibility with the Android app.
  • Fix for issue with importing from ShareBuilder brokerage.
  • Fix for issue with portfolio/watchlist settings not syncing properly.

Android App Updated

We’ve also updated the new Android app to v1.0.1a. It contains some minor stability and compatibility changes.

Both updates are free for those of you already using StockMarketEye 3 or the Android app. If you are using StockMarketEye 3 or the Android app, we highly recommend that you upgrade to the new version.

StockMarketEye for Android now on Google Play

We are proud to announce that StockMarketEye for Android v1.0 is now available on Google Play!

StockMarketEye for Android on Google Play

The Android app is very similar to our iOS app, and can be used without the desktop version.

It also works with our on-line synchronization service, so you can keep the same information on all of your devices (Android, iOS and the desktop version).

  • New brokerages: PNC Bank, Wedbush and Raymond James (feedback on your experience with these brokerages in StockMarketEye is welcome).
  • Additional buttons to facilitate changing dates in the Back-in-Time report.
  • Allow restore of backup files in trial version.

Fixes

  • Fixed: Column widths are not saved after “fit column widths to contents” on Yosemite.
  • Fixed: Column order/widths not saved on Yosemite.
  • Fixed: 5-day charts with holidays have overlapping day labels for the holiday.
  • Fixed: 5-day chart cursor’s date part is off by timezone.
  • Fixed: Description field in Watchlist/Portfolio settings window does not expand or have scrollbars.
  • Fixed: Startup problem when used in Lima Peru timezone.
  • Fixed: The “Change” columns in Summary report’s closing portfolio do not print.
  • Other minor stability improvements.
