  • Thanks for the updates – looking forward to the next paid version. Hope it’s a paid upgrade. I love this program and want to make sure you have a sustainable business model.

In a future update I’d love to be able to add a cash transaction to a portfolio from the Reports view.

  • Yes, a major update (i.e. paid upgrade) is in the works. We’re currently aiming for January. It will have support for portfolio grouping with reports, improved charts, sector/industry, ACB and much more.

  • Hi,
When will the cash running total be available in the reports section (and last in the summary)?
    Requested about a year ago.
This could eliminate having to keep a separate spread sheet for what the cash actually is and having to put a fudge factor into SME to correct the erroneous SME calculated amount.

  • That’s something we’re hoping to have time to add yet in the next major version.

  • That’s great to hear about the major paid update!

Another potential feature request (I’m sure you have many more ideas than you can implement though), but wouldn’t it be more accurate to display the Total Return % as the “Overall” value for each portfolio on the left rather than use what looks to be the Gain %? If my understanding of the difference is correct, TR % would include transaction costs and dividends where Gain % just include transaction costs. I would want the Overall value to be better reflective of the dividends (which can be substantial over time) to give a more accurate picture of my performance. Perhaps that could be a preference option in the next major release?

  • Yes, I definitely have more ideas than I can implement. 🙂 Configuring what is shown in the “Folders” view is definitely on the to-do list. Not sure I’m going to have time for it in the next major version, unfortunately, but it is something I think makes sense to add in the future.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!

  • Regarding “….Yes, a major update (i.e. paid upgrade) is in the works….” Its January now and a minor release came out at the beginning of the month.

Is it better to wait for the major release to come out or if purchased soon is there a grace period for free upgrades to the next major version?

Thanks. My trial ran out a couple of months ago and I’m humming and harrring, but your software keeps coming back to my mind.

  • The new major version will be a paid upgrade for all users who have previously purchased. At the same time as we release the new version, we will also be raising the price of a normal license. Because the new full price = current full price + upgrade price, there’s really no difference when you purchase. The new version will reset all trials (existing and on-going) back to a full 30-days, so you’ll be able to test it out fully before deciding.
