We are proud to announce the release of StockMarketEye 4.0.14. This is a minor update that adds support for a couple new brokerages and minor new features. It also improves compatibility and stability.
Over the last month or so, Yahoo Finance and Google Finance have changed the way they reset quotes at the beginning of the day. Previously, they would reset the previous close value an hour or 2 before the start of trade. This made it so that lightly traded securities or mutual funds would have a 0% day gain until they were priced at the end of the day. Recently, however, the previous close value was never reset. This lead to having inconsistent day gain values in portfolios that had mutual funds or lightly traded securities. StockMarketEye 4.0.14 works around this change at Yahoo Finance and Google Finance by doing the reset of the previous close itself. As of this version, StockMarketEye will reset the previous close values at 8AM local time, except on weekends.
We have also added features to make it easier to upgrade to StockMarketEye 4. Now, you don’t need to have run StockMarketEye 3 on the computer first. You can simply run StockMarketEye 4, enter your StockMarketEye 3 license key, and StockMarketEye will propose purchasing the upgrade to v4.
Below is a complete list of the additions and changes in this version of StockMarketEye.
This is a free update for those of you already using StockMarketEye 4. If you are using StockMarketEye 4, we highly recommend that you update to the new version.
Haven’t yet updated to StockMarketEye 4? What better time than now!
Any update about how alternative tracking providers (eg Bloomberg, Morningstar etc) through ISIN or other codes will be available?
Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
We’re currently aiming to add additional data providers (such as Bloomberg or Morningstar) in StockMarketEye v5. Late 2017 is current target.
