StockMarketEye 5.8 Release

StockMarketEye Updates and Releases

We’re excited to announce the release of version 5.8.0, with improved Online Sync and a new mobile app!

IMPORTANT: This update will be rolled out in stages, so not all users will get the update simultaneously. The end of the rollout giving 100% of users access, will be completed in one week.

We want to ensure the rollout is done smoothly and without issue. Thank you for being so patient!

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Please back up your data before downloading the 5.8.0 version.

For your utmost precaution, please also make sure you back up your data before testing the new Online Sync build 5.8.0. In case you encounter any issues, you will be assured that you have a backup copy of your data.

Version 5.8.0.
A New Online Sync Experience

We have rebuilt the online sync functionality to improve the real-time sync experience between devices (desktop to desktop and desktop to mobile)

To use Online Sync, you will need a StockMarketEye account. If you already have a StockMarketEye account, you can log in under Settings > Accounts.

If you do not have a StockMarketEye account, you can easily create a new account under Settings > Accounts.

Please remember that a StockMarketEye Account is different from a billing account.

If you download the StockMarketEye app on any other device (desktop or mobile) and log in with your StockMarketEye account, your data will automatically appear and will sync in real-time with other devices.

Once again, please remember to back up ALL your data before testing the new Online Sync build on this release.

New Mobile Apps

The new online sync functionality comes with brand-new mobile apps. We are very excited to share them with you; đź’ˇ please remember that to be able to test them you must log in or create a StockMarketEye account.

Known Issues On This Build

With the relaunch of Online Sync and the new mobile apps, we will continue to update and improve over the next few weeks.

There are minor known issues on this build that our team is working to resolve and should be updated in upcoming releases.

  1. Portfolio stocks removal isn’t synced on iOS
If a user manually removes a stock from the desktop app, it is not removed on mobile.
  2. The user sees already sold stocks in the stock list on mobile.
Already sold stocks are still displayed on mobile app for old data.
  3. The Gain (Gain, Gain%, DayGain) columns are not matching between desktop and mobile sometimes (floating bug)
For some users, the Gain (Gain, Gain%, DayGain) numbers do not match between desktop and mobile. If you experience the numbers not matching, please send us what the correct numbers should be and on which device (desktop or mobile) the numbers are correct.
  4. The switched columns reset once the user clicks the “Get Quote” button
After switching default columns on mobile and then clicking Get Quote on desktop, the default columns will reset on mobile.
  5. Stocks disappear after syncing for iOS (floating bug)
Occasionally, after creating a new watchlist on iOS, stocks on the desktop will disappear. It’s important to make sure you have backed up your files before testing the new sync.
  6. Sync not working after installing the build without sync (floating bug)
Occasionally, if you are on an earlier version of StockMarketEye and manually install 5.8.0, sync will not work.
  7. The data is being leaked on desktop if the user logs in to 2 Auth0 accounts.
If the user logs into Auth0 account on a desktop, syncs to mobile, then logs out on the desktop and logs into another Auth0 account, the data from the 1st account will be leaked to the 2nd account.
  8. The data from the backup file should be synced to mobile
If you upload a backup file to the desktop, it does not sync with mobile.
  9. Sync movement of watchlists from the mobile application does not match desktop.
If you drag and drop the order of a watchlist on mobile, it does not update on desktop.

We understand that these issues may impact your experience, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are working hard to fix these as soon as possible.

Thank you for your feedback. Together, we can make StockMarketEye even better!
