StockMarketEye v2.9.9 Released

We are proud to announce the release of StockMarketEye v2.9.9 for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

This release includes one minor change related to parsing QIF files generated by Personal Stock Monitor.

Below is a complete list of the additions and changes in this version of StockMarketEye.

What’s New In StockMarketEye v2.9.9

  • Fixed a problem with importing QIF files generated by Personal Stock Monitor where dividend entries were not being recorded with their corresponding symbol.

There is no charge for this upgrade so we highly recommend that all users (trial and licensed) upgrade to the newest version.

I have been running PSMGold on a Mac via Parallels (Windows XP.) I would prefer to run SME on my Mac side. If I import PSM data in QIF from the windows side, will it import into a Mac driven SME software?

While waiting for a response to my question, I answered it myself. The answer was “yes” QIF from Windows can be imported to Mac OS. But not without folly.
I had to import data starting from Year 1998 to present. Had many many stocks which did multiple “splits” during the Tech bubble. These transactions had to be deleted from SME after import and re-entered because all splits showed up as a value 10x their original transaction, i.e, a 2:1 split showed up as 20:1 being imported from PSM.

Yes, there’s a few other tricks we’ve found when importing a PSM generated QIF file. We’ll update this blog post soon with a list of what we’ve found.
