StockMarketEye v3.3.2 Released

We are proud to announce the release of StockMarketEye v3.3.2 for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

This version includes a number performance improvements, minor enhancements and fixes.

In terms of performance, we made a number of changes to help speed up the portfolio’s Summary report and Back-in-Time report. Additionally, we made changes to reduce the amount of bandwidth StockMarketEye uses when attempting to retrieve historical quotes for certain stocks.

Based on user feedback, we improved importing from Quicken and iBank 5 generated QIF files, so that symbols and names from the QIF file are properly used. The CSV import was also improved with automatic price retrieval. Now, if a transaction in your CSV file does not include a value in the price/share column, StockMarketEye will lookup the historical closing price on the transaction date and use that for the transaction’s price/share.

Mac Users Note: you will need to download and install the full version from our website due to internal changes that can not be made available in our automatic update. Note that installing the new copy will not remove or change the data you have in StockMarketEye, as that data is stored separately from the app. Be sure to quit the old version of StockMarketEye before installing the new version.

Mac Users Note: StockMarketEye v3.3.2 is still compatible with Mac OS X 10.6, but you need to download a special version, which can be downloaded from the “Download for Mac OS X 10.6 and/or Apple Java” link on the download page. Contact our support team if you have questions.

Below is a complete list of the additions and changes in this version of StockMarketEye.
